It’s the last week of teaching. How time flies! Can I alert you to a few things:
1. The student evaluation for TPSJ will open at 20.00 GMT tonight (straight after our final session this evening) and it closes at midnight on 13th April. Please complete the evaluation. Your feedback will not only inform how I teach this course next year but will help us plan for Community Action and Social Justice (CASJ) in September. The evaluation is here:
2. Speaking of CASJ, as you know, this course will run in September. It would be extremely helpful for my planning if you could let me know if you will be taking CASJ and Policy Analysis for Social Justice (PASJ) in September. We will need a minimum number of students to enroll on this course–probably about 7–for PASJ to run in September. If we don’t meet that threshold, then Policy Analysis will run, without question, in January 2016.
3. Sam suggested I compile a social justice summer reading list for you guys. I’m happy to do so over the coming weeks. I’ll even throw in a few fiction choices too because I like you guys so much. It would be lovely if you could recommend 2-3 of your favourite books–both fiction and non-fiction–to add to the list. I have this dream of us starting a summer reading group. Is that something you guys might be interested in? Or is that just crazy?
Finally, more music. This time from Fantastic Negrito: http://www.npr.org/event/music/391288717/fantastic-negrito-tiny-desk-concert
