There’s good news and bad news.
The bad news: Thomas is leaving the programme. 🙁
I’m sure you’d all like to join me in thanking Thomas for his contributions to the programme this year and wish him all the best as he heads off for pastures new. After Thomas marks your community case files, he’ll take up new responsibilities in the School and won’t return to teaching on the MSc Social Justice.
The good news: Callum McGregor is joining the programme team!
Callum was once a PhD student in our department here and has been lecturing at the University of Dundee (which is north of Edinburgh, for those not familiar with Scotland) since last year. Callum has just gotten a job with us and he’ll be replacing Thomas on the programme. I’m delighted to be working with him. His focus is on environmental justice and activist pedagogies in social movements. Once Callum is settled in (he officially starts in January), he’ll introduce himself formally to you guys.
Note that Thomas’ personal tutees will shift to Callum from January.
If you have any questions about the change of staffing–please feel free to get in touch.
